SSC CGL Exam Overview:

The CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. It is one of the most prestigious exams of the year as the selected candidates are recruited for various posts across the departments of the Central Government. These jobs include roles such as Income Tax Inspectors, Excise & Customs Inspectors, Accountants, Junior Accountants, Compiler in Registrar General of India, and Preventive Officers. SSC CGL Exam is one of the toughest exams in India, conducted in 2 phases: Tier 1 & Tier 2. Final merit would be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in SSC CGL Tier 2, 3, and 4 examinations.

SSC CGL Selection Process:

The selection process is based on two stages:

1. Tier-I (Computer Based Exam)
2. Tier-II (Computer Based Exam)

Exam Pattern:

Stage 1: SSC CGL Tier 1

• Computer-based online test of 200 marks in 60 minutes
• No sectional cut-off
• Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language

Stage 2: SSC CGL Tier 2

• Three papers
• Paper I is compulsory for every post
• Paper II and Paper III for specific posts
• Session-I (Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, General Intelligence) and Session-II (English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Module)

SSC CHSL Exam Overview:

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CHSL exam to recruit 12th-pass candidates for various posts under the Government of India. These include posts such as LDC (Lower Division Clerk), JSA (Junior Secretarial Assistant), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO), and DEO (Grade A). The SSC CHSL Exam is divided into two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2, followed by a Skill Test / Typing Test, and Document / Certificate Verification.

Tier-I (CBT round) Tier-II (Also includes Skill Test / Typing Test) Document / Certificate Verification The SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for Tier 1 consists of four subjects: English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Each subject carries 25 questions with a maximum of 50 marks. The total duration of Tier-1 is 60 minutes.

SSC has introduced a revised exam pattern for the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam for the CHSL 2024 exam. Here are the details of the new pattern:

Tier II will comprise three sections, each consisting of two modules:

1. Section-1:
   • Module-I: Mathematical Abilities
   • Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence
2. Section-2:
   • Module-I: English Language and Comprehension
   • Module-II: General Awareness
3. Section-3:
   • Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test
   • Module-II: Skill Test/Typing Test

Tier-2 will be conducted in two sessions on the same day:

• Session-I: Conducting of Section-1, Section-2, and Module-1 of Section-3.
• Session 2: Conducting of Module 2 of Section 3.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions, except for Module 2 of Section 3. The questions will be set in English and Hindi, except for Module-2 (i.e., English Language and Comprehension module) in Section 2.

In Session I, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-1, Section-2, and Module-I of Section-3.

Here's a breakdown of the number of questions and marks for each section:

1. Section-1:
   • Module-1: Mathematical Abilities - 30 questions, 3 marks each
   • Module-2: Reasoning and General Intelligence - 30 questions, 3 marks each
2. Section-2:
